What is E-ECP?
E-ECP stands for Enhanced External Counter Pulsation Therapy. It is a non-invasive therapy used to relieve angina. During E-ECP, external pressure cuffs are wrapped around your lower limbs, from the calves to the gluteal region. Pressure is applied sequentially from distal to proximal. The squeezing and releasing are synchronized with your heart rate, promoting blood flow throughout your body and especially to your heart.
